Guidelines for academic submissions
Content.
Academic submissions must take the form of a short paper. Short papers focus on a few main ideas of your work. They should explain the nature and purpose of the paper, its theoretical background, the research gap, the methodological approach, as well as main findings, and contributions.
To what extent these parts are elaborated depends on the nature of the submission (early- vs late-stage project) as well as intended submission stream (main, pitch, or special interest). Early-stage project submissions may choose to dedicate room to outlining choices the authors wrestle with, which they would like to discuss at the conference.
For more information consult the Call for Contributions (PDF download).
Format.
Your submission should comprise approx. 4-8 pages (i.e., 3,000-4,000 words). Except for page limitations, we adhere to the “Format-Your-Paper-Your-Way” formatting philosophy. Please be reasonable and consider your readers!
Copyrights.
The copyrights for the work you submit remains with you at all times. This allows for the submission of your most recent work (in progress) and to get feedback on your new ideas! We will supply conference attendees with a book of abstracts.
